Beaudesert to Southport, Wednesday 17 August to Saturday 20 August 2011
This annual walk honours local Indigenous hero Billy Drumley and all men and women who have worked to make their community a better place. In the early 1900s Billy Drumley reguarly walked from Beaudesert to Southport (a distance of 70kms) to check on his sister and her family. The walk compasses local beauty spots in Mount Tamborine and Nerang and includes meals and accommodation options.
