FOREWORD

Aboriginal people have instincts close to nature.

We can see things through nature and have learnt to live with and respect the environment.

It is hoped that this booklet will help children appreciate the lifestyle, culture and history of the Nunukul, Nughie and Goenpil people of Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) and Moorgumpin (Moreton Island).

Our knowledge has been passed down through many generations and we hope that readers will value our stories and understand our connection to the islands and the bay.
