Recording of the National Anthem in Yugambeh Language and learn the National Anthem in Yugambeh Language CD

The CD has been produced to teach you the correct pronunciations of the National Anthem in Yugambeh Language. This is a teaching resource not a musical CD.

Thank you for supporting the revival of the Yugambeh Aboriginal language.

Yugambeh was one of more than 400 different Aboriginal languages in use in Australia at the time of first contact. Now there are less than 20 spoken fluently.

Our language was considered lost about 30 years ago. But thanks to the work of Elders and community members, and the ongoing work of the Yugambeh Museum at Beenleigh, it has been revitalized to the point it can be taught in schools. It has moved from lost, to critically endangered.
